I want some ftp codes idea.gif

Posted by: Brad Roberts Jun 15 2003, 02:15 AM

The plan:

To automate a ftp access to the server so all members can post pics in a "members area" The problem is: we need a piece of software that automatically thumbnails pics for you as you put them in a certain folder. I want the members area to be uniform with the same graphics at the top and bottom that you see throughout the site.

you should try and find out what software pbase.com is using, really nice setup there. you could add in the 914world.com graphics and have a really clean functional photo database that the users can't screw up! biggrin.gif

Any one know what tire/wheel/spacer combination Martin Arnaud is running on the 3.6? Looks perfect to me. My 205x60's on 7x15s just don't fill out the front flares enough.

9x16" rears and 8x16" fronts. 265 width tires in the rear. Not sure about the front!

There is software on the classifieds that automatically creates thumbnails - should be possible to use that. Actually it should automatically resize any picture to something reasonable for display and then also create the thumbnail to go with it. That way it would avoid the problem of vast upload files causing problems.

I threw some more pics on your thread on http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114895.

Thank God ... the day was OUTSTANDING!!! Sunny, with blue skies peppered with clouds. I ran top-off all the way to Orlando and half way back. My face and forehead burned to a crisp before I finally had to put the top back on in Lakeland. Next time, I'm bringing a HAT!

Next time, we can't "booth" it; we have to go to a place that has tables and chairs with some elbow room! ein 6er's ponytail kept brushing against me blink.gif ; shouda grabbed me some duct tape outta Paul's trailer! But those hot wings were good, even though they came back to haunt me later.

I brought enough tools to swap that engine outta Paul's AXer; swear, I would've been done in 2 hours. But MAN, Martin's twin-plugger ... that sucker was to DIE for! And if you wanted to know what a "6" looked like back in 1970, Doug (ein 6er) had it hands down. That silver was melting a few retinas.

The 914-V8's rear spoiler must've stopped every cop cruiser roaming the mall area; even the landscapers weed-whacked a few bald spots checking out THAT car.

If we get together again, I'm there. I have no problem whatsoever keeping the meet in Orlando, if only because it's centrally located. And I don't care to what degree the car is done in (stock, conversion, racer, etc); the more the merrier.
