914World.com _ 914World Garage _ GB: GT Half Cage

Posted by: McMark Feb 18 2016, 05:53 AM

I got a couple orders for my GT Half Cage. I'd like to do as many of them at once as I can, since they're easier when all the tooling is set up. Right now I have 2 orders, if I reach 5 I'll knock everyone's price down 10%, and if somehow 10 people order I'll drop it 15%.

I own one and will be installing it in my build-off project. I can attest to the quality Mark has put into these units.

Just can't wait to install it!!! welder.gif sunglasses.gif

I assume there is some seat travel that is lost with this design?

At 6'6" I can't give up anything...

Looks like a factory GT roll bar from back in the era. Nice!

What price are we shooting for at 5 and 10 persons? And, will there be an engine compartment sandwich plate for the center hump mount?

I'm in for 1.

Hi Mark

IF one of those 2 orders is mine, then you still are at 2.

IF not, you now are at 3 biggrin.gif

Thanks

Keep me posted - hoping for 10+ discount!

It does impede seat travel, but the center bars could be left out.

It's $700 - discount + shipping.

Clink the link above for all the details.

What about a "weld it yourself package"? Helps with the tubing order but doesn't take the assembly finish time?

I could do it, but it wouldn't save a bunch of money. Cutting/bending/notching the tubes is where the time is. Welding goes pretty quick. But I'm game if you want....

Mark, does this weld-in or bolt in?

Mark, I'd be in for one with the 10%-15% discount. Whats the head count to date? Also when do you think they'd be coming off your assembly line?

Posted by: BuddyV Feb 25 2016, 02:56 PM

I just ordered one....... any chance we can meet the discount price ??

My cage needed harness bar lowered.I'm 6'1 and have my sparco seats mounted to the floor.I had to bend a bar so the seat would go all the way back.
