Installation of the front turnsignal bucket LED boards.
There are 2 clips for each board. The small one goes in front the the long one on the rear.
Screw in the rear clip.
The small front clip mounts on the top of the board. These will be screwed in when I build the board. The bottom of the board will contact the bucket base to keep the board straight.
Here's the board ready for installation with the bulb base connected.
When installing the board, make sure the pigtail does not interfere with the rear clip.
Gently slide the board in. There are slots on either side of the board to clear the guides on the sides of the bucket.
Ready for the lens. The lens will hold the board in place. If you need to reposition the board, do not grab the LEDs as they will move. Use a paper clip or similar wire to pull the board out.
Hi Jerry,
I will take a set of the US version -all Amber

Danny Thomas

I'm in for an amber U.S. set. Thanks, Jerry!
I'd like a US (amber-only) set. Thanks!
Paypal sent.
US- all amber set
Thanks!!
I want US pair
I want 1 set Euro style Pls
Count me in for the Euro Version - w/Blanking: $145 + $10 = $155
US set only. I guess this is plug and play...no relay or other electrical change? I'm electrical illeeterette.
How do you compare the brightness to just the bulb? Pictures online anywhere?
Also while I'm in there...can you give me an LED side marker bulb number that will also plug and play the side markers??
Thanks Bill
A really well packed package was waiting for me when I got home today! I can't wait to install my set.
-Robert
I'll take a us set.
I have a question for the brain trust here. I have installed front and back and they work great. On the front I have the euro version and I use Italian lenses which are clear. With the lights off you can see the circuit board, which is green (see photo). My question is can this be coated in a silver or black paint like material without messing up the function?
Maybe..he can make up a black board for you, and someone else will buy your boards...a swap out if you will??
Had a question about blanking for the Euro version. This function emulates modern cars with running lights where the running light turns off when the turnsignal is active to provide better contrast for the blinking turnsignal.
Here's a video of the front Euro board.

......just paid for my "US" order. Thanks!
I think black would look good. Remember I have the euro version with the yellow dimly lit with the running light on and with the blanking. They look outstanding when on.
Spoke...let me know if you think we can pull this off. I am willing to eat a few bucks to pull this off.
Can you tell us about when these will be ready? Color of the backboard doesn't matter for me. Thanks
I haven't been billed yet. Where do I send money to?
Bill, send your $$ first then wait ~3 weeks.
Just got the black boards from the fab. They look pretty cool. We'll build a couple of Euro boards with these.
Are you making a replacement set in black for me?
So if we want a set of black with the euro set up do we need to specify black or green for the boards at time of order?
When will you be doing sets for the rear break lights?
Got my Euro Style today. Very nice. Thx Jerry
Those do look good...are they mine?
Spoke - I totally missed this. Did I miss the boat on this one or do you have any sets left? I bought the rears and was waiting for the fronts and missed the thread.
Let me know,
John
.......my fronts are great. Any rears left?
I'll take a set of the Euro's with the black board if possible ...
I'd like a set of the Euro front signals as well. How much are the Euro rear light assemblies and are they available still?
Thank you Spoke for the black front boards....they look great with the Italian lenses.
Spoke--question on the Euro fronts--is the amber section dim lit when in an "idle" state? From the picture above it looks like they are--I thought the amber section was only lit when the signals were engaged...
Considering picking up a set of Euro fronts "just in case" I ever want to go that route...
Still my US version set, amazing upgrade
I have the one set of Euro boards from Ralph's car that I will sell at a discount since they are used. They will still be warranted for 1 year as with new boards. If you didn't know they were used it would be hard to tell.
Price for this one set is $120. Normal price is $145. These have white LEDs which turn off when turnsignals are active. They also have the amber LEDs on dim when the white LEDs are on.
spoke, i'll take ralphs slightly used euro turn signal and a rear euro lights. i already have your led brake lights installed.
thanks,
abe
I would like a front euro set in green if possible.
Thanks
Jimmy
I finally have a website to make the selection and payment of LEDs a bit smoother. Please feel free to visit and let me know how it is.
The site also has installation instructions for all the LED boards.
Since I managed to cannibalize my own sockets by introducing black colored boards, I have several 911 and 914 front turnsignal boards with green PCBs listed in a bargain page.
http://www.spokeworksled.com/
I never planned to make a front sidemarker LED board but reconsidered making one after I started making rear sidemarkers for the 911.
Below are a couple of 911 rear sidemarker boards and a plastic mock up of a 914 front sidemarker board.
I tried to use the 911 sidemarker on the 914 but it was a bit too large. The 911 board is 1.25 inch whereas the 914 sidemarker board will be 1.19 inch; just 0.06 inch smaller.
Here's the mock up board in the 914 sidemarker fixture. With 12 LEDs, these sidemarkers are very bright. The 911 sidemarker is about 7x brighter than the standard bulb.
Hope to have first PCBs by next week.
I now have front sidemarker boards in stock. These are $30 for a pair.
I measured light intensity of the standard bulb and this board. The standard bulb at 4 feet put out 0.8 LUX directly opposite of the bulb and 0.5 LUX at a 45 degree angle.
The LED board at 4 feet straight on was measured at 3.8 LUX and 2.5 LUX at 45 degree angle. In general this board is more than 4x brighter than the standard bulb as measured on my car.
You can find these boards at:

Jerry - Excellent news. I already placed an order for a set. Thanks for taking care of us and making these terrific lights for our cars.
They look much nicer and more importantly, are better for the electrical system as they draw so much less voltage and they increase safety on the road as our cars are more visible to those damn distracted drivers with their noses in the phones while they drive.
i just got around to installing these... i have a weird ground problem or something (i dont think it is a problem with the led kit). without the reverse bulb on one side the lights on that side are quite dim. see video. any tips?

thanks,
steve
That is weird. The reverse light is independent of the brakes/running/turnsignal lights. The only thing they share is ground.
It might be good to examine the 5 wires connecting to the fixture. A couple of wires might need swapped. It looks like the reverse bulb may be providing ground to the other lights.
