Nice, are they for sale now?

No. Owners cars. Sentimental value. We are shutting down the old shop. Just getting around to renting the boom lift to get the cars down.
Bringing lots of 911 seats, and short hood parts to Hershey to sell really cheap!

You know I get tired of poking around my garage and finding cars hiding... biggrin.gif

Seriously, what a sweet find.

Mark, just out of sheer curiosity, what kind of rotors are on #333? Being 4-lug, I've always wondered how most 4-lug racecars did their brakes, since the stockers weren't ventilated.

I'll check on Monday. The red car had a hot 4 cylinder and is pretty light with lots of glass panels and flares. The orange car is even lighter and had a 6 that eventually went into TC's silver back date.

There used to be aluminum billet hubs that allowed one to bolt on 911 vented rotors and 911 calipers to the stock /4 struts.

I did the drawings for them about 10 years ago or so?

I found one hiding in my garage. I might even drive it tomorrow.

Are you sure about that? The Motor in the BackDate was correct for the 1984 Chassis as I remember

I think the motor that came out of that 914 might have gone into the 911 he drove across country on his Honeymoon.

I've lost things in my shop especially since I'm getting older but never a car let alone two, wow great find!

Trust me, the post is tongue in cheek. Scott knows every car and engine he owns.

That car got hit and it's without an engine currently. We need to put it on a bench. Pull it straight and fix it back up. It was his first Porsche. I want to do it as a surprise for him.

I remember seeing the brakes on Chuck Forge's car. Stock, as they had to be for the class at one time. The rotor was completely covered by an air duct, to get as much air onto it as possible. I think the caliper also had air ducted to it?

Chuck told me that the rules had changed to allow vented rotors, but he didn't bother because he had (finally!) gotten the non-vented ones working well and didn't want to mess with that.

Time for a 904 build?

Posted by: Mueller Feb 28 2016, 02:00 AM

I couldn't read the names on the doors, same owner or father/son drivers?

Just wondering due to the 33 and 333 numbers.

Yes. Both cars purchased from one of our customers. Husband/wife.
