914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Suspension Question

When I sit in the driver's seat of my '74 2.0 the car dips on that that side by 1 centimeter or so when measuring from the ground up to the fender wheel arch, passing through the center of the wheel. I get the same measurement at front and rear wheels. I weigh 190 lbs. Is that excessive sag? My shocks (Boges) are less than 2 years old. Opinions?

Sounds about right.

That is also why you need to add your wieght to the drivers seat when corner balancing a car ...

Yup, or crank up the drivers side front torsion bar 1/4 of an inch higher so the car sits level with you in there.

Thanks all. I will study up on the torsion bar adjustment. I've never messed with them before.

Shocks don't support weight.
