I bought two Porsches and might be top heavy with six. I might sell my second 73 silver 2.0? No rust. Florida car, 2nd owner, FI, appearance group, everything works, ccustom exhaust turbo tie rods, new shocks and tires, Fuchs, one repainted in original silver, no dash cracks?! Price range?

Silver is a great color.

You need to go through the car, document as much as you can, and then ask yourself how thoroughly you are willing to show and feature the car. A notable 914 guy who had a 2.0 '73 in silver held out for a $25-30K price and eventually got it.

Betto,

Go to the Hagerty website, at their classic car values section, & then enter your zip & year/make/model/etc. to see their chart for the range of values, but you need to be brutally honest & objective when selecting which Quality level 1-5 - so read their definitions of each & then do an evaluations as if you were buying it &/or have a 3rd party buddy do so with or for you.

Rob I got to give you respect for 9500 posts on this site, but a 25K to 30K 73 2.0 is few and far between. Please don't get me wrong I wish they brought these prices but I just don't see it. Lots of people asking high prices but I also see the same 914s on the many sites out there for months on in.

It's worth what someone will pay for it.
Use the classifieds, start at a high asking price.
You can always lower the price, but it's hard to raise it.

This is my 73 2.0 same as yours. It has 119K on it. It's not perfect. It's a driver. One rust issue on passenger sail panel. Front bumper a little crooked. One crack in the dash. New 914rubber dash sitting in my living room. Couple seat cushion tears. One re-paint. It's got a chip and a scratch here and there. I have it's replacement value set at 12K. Hagerty had no issue with that. If all the cosmetic issues were fixed and a engine re-fresh then maybe 18-20K.

Thanks so much everyone. I had looked at Hagerty, Hemmings, eBay, various sites but thought I'd tap the experts. I may keep both of the 914s for now and see how my garage issue pans out. It will also give me an excuse to install the black white houndstooth material on the seat cushions. Steve thanks for your input! If I sell, I might ask in the low 20s then.

I have 2 new customers that have picked up 914s, both 73 2.0 one really clean cared for car nice paint never tracked black on black. paid around 23K. and I feel he got a good deal?
Its changing times now in the 914 world. I have another customer that will be into his project with me for over 15K plus buying the car.
The funny things is I have been into 914s fro 30 years, I cant seem to get past paying 5k for a 914, Thats just the old school guy in me but 5K cars are getting very hard to find now. I understand guys paying over 20K for a good clean car look at the cost of restoration and paint??? and remember not everyone likes being married to the car night after night like we do. I live for it but thats just me.

I agree. I thought the ask was crazy but it got done. A real number is more like $12-15k IMHO for a typical car, and 20-25 for an exceptional one.

The one I referenced was the best of the best.
