I curious as to the quality of these trim pieces. They are $200 each. Has anybody ordered these and what are my options if these are not up to snuff?

I wonder if those are thicker than the stock aluminum foil.

Save yourself some money order from the dealer, they are factory.

Here is where I got mine, pretty sure they are factory and I bought both sides and negotiated down to $152.00 each.

I've ordered this exact trim piece from aase for my left side.....they match the NOS stock right side trim piece that I have. The trim is supplied from the Porsche factory and the pricing is competitive.

aase is a very reputable company and doesn't carry junk.....they have a nice supply of used 914 parts also.

Got mine from the dealer in Oregon. I think they were $175 and oem!

That's what I paid at Sunset.

From past experience with ordering aluminum trim pieces from Porsche be very careful and inspect each piece carefully for scratches or flaws.

Even better, I would ask when you order the parts to have them pre-inspected before they ship them.

Aase by the way has always been a great source for parts.

Dave - unless the AASE parts are labeled as NOS, they're usually just getting them from Porsche (same at Stoddards), so try Sunset Porsche & Suncoast Porsche parts websites for the better discounts that I've seen from P-dealers around the USA, but check your local dealer for a PCA discount to compare pricing too.

Cheers! agree.gif
