WTF.gif
Didn't know these existed on the 914.

Just noticed it when unloading it off the trailer.

It does have a separate button for it on the dash, green background with a heating element logo on it, pulls and pushes.

Anybody familiar with these rear windo defrosters?

Thank you

Yup, optional equipment. 2 out of 4 of my 914's came with the heated rear window.

My '74 has it, the boy's '73 doesn't.

My '70 1.7 has the rear window heater...never had a situation for it to be useful, even during two years in Green River, WY.

So it could be said this option probably has little or no value if building a car?

Cool factor only and a extra hole filled on the dash .

If it's a summer car only, yes totally useless.
