914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Interesting parts on PET

Posted by: FlatSix Jun 19 2003, 05:36 AM

Now that our computer time is divided between this site and browsing the PET system, I was wondering what little known, interesting parts people have found on PET?

I found this. I'm going to ask my P-car guy about the price - just out of curiosity.

- 039 100 031 X SHORT ENGINE EXCHANGE
74 KW, 100 DIN-PS WITH CYLINDER HEAD
OIL COOLER FLYWHEEL MODEL 039.GB

Jeff:

Just curious, are you comparing price with that thread I posted about a new vendor thats selling a 2.0 914 motor for 2K,, hard to beat that price.

Yeah, that price seems too good. I'm gonna email the local Porsche dealer and see if they get back to me with a price.

Jeff if you get an answer from them, post it so we all can see the difference if any..

I work at at VW/Porsche/Audi dealer. I just pull up another screen and get it off the inhouse system.

I guess the euro 2.0 73 is the way to go. My inclining is the part is NLA. Would be sweet to get a brand new motor!

I just got an answer back from a local Porsche shop for the price of the motor. "List $5773.14 CAD". That translates to 4,302.73 USD. You Americans are getting a much better deal than us Canucks.

Just took a look at that thread. Seems I saw their web page once before. No personal experience with them but a quick google search turned up http://www.members.shaw.ca/bilbo/survey2.html

So for $4300, you can still get a new motor? what comes with that? injectors, sensors, arr, etc????
And if its been sitting in a wharehouse for 25 years what would need to be done to it? And would the dealer perform that service before you pick it up.
2 warranty i assume?
