Also keep in mind that the images need to be fairly small in filesize, otherwise they will be rejected by the server.
As a general rule, keep them below 1MB if they're JPEG and 2MB if they're PNG.

So I just reset my phone from 16MB (5312x2988) pictures to the smallest setting, which is 2.4MB (2024x1152). So the smallest my phone will set to is still 2.4MB, I wonder if that will work?

2.4MB should work. Can you reduce the DPI? There's usually also a "quality" settings (besides the width/height). Lowering the DPI will reduce the quality and filesize. Webpages like this forum can't display more than 72dpi (or 96dpi on some hardware). Anything above that is wasted bandwidth.

Well if there is a quality or dpi setting they have burred it. As is typical of newer "User Friendly" devices they don't want the user to exercise any control.
When I have a WCR relevant picture I submit it and see what happens.

Thats what I have.. top left is a gear when your in the camera which is your settings, then the top left again is your image size. 2.4mb is the smallest and will yeild typically a 700kb-1mb pic. Thats what you see in my build thread so I dont have to resize every picture.

No kidding. Temps were in the mid-90's (what is that in Celsius?) but Pam and I were comfortable cruisin' up I-5 in our A/C chilled 70 degree cabin.
I know I'm a wimp but on a day like today, I really don't care!
EDIT: Had a nice steak dinner at the 5th Street Steakhouse in downtown Chico. We decided to stop for the evening and take a room in town. We'll be up in Medford tomorrow afternoon.

I did that and only for half day when it rain, and when i removed the tarp it left some markings and until now it shows like a map on my car and that was last year when i did that. that kind of tarp does not breath or make any airflow.

Is that a front valance on the rear?
No, it's an aftermarket rear valance, fiberglass if I recall correctly.

Sigh. In defense. I care about this. There was a call for everyone who was running. The call was, everyone running, get on the line! It wasn't said that this was a 914 photo op, it was said, line up those who are running.
My friend who was driving the Cayenne, followed suit as was in order for the lineup for driving the order of things. It was the order of driving the track! He had no interest in being in the photo, he was just following instructions.
So... Are you going to call out the Porsche Cayenne, but not the 944s and the VW Squareback, or the fucking FORD?
Funny thing is that stupid SUV had some pretty impressive lap times, considering.
Wow, so sorry if this offended anyone, but I'm standing up for my friend who was a welcomed guest and was already feeling like he was intruding, but was welcomed and encouraged to join in. Yeah, welcome to the world, you damned inconsiderate tool.
I still want to understand this, so help me please so I can learn how not to offend next time.
FUCK, I was looking forward to bringing a new 914 person to the team. I sold him on the super cool vibe of our community. So close. How do you think this feels to him?

I am sure I speak for several members in the community we welcome your friend and his involvement with the 914 community. I'll look at the photo as a time line,, evolution of Motor Trends within a company Porsche / VW which is almost one in the same. I wish I was at the event I would let your friend drive my 914 so he can see how welcomed he is.. No big deal everybody's having a great time. Keep the photos coming. And the windshield wipers going.

What i did say is that one should consider the size of their vehicle compared to the rest when parking in a group foto. He's blocking several cars behind him that one can barely make out. Parking that tank to the side or in the back really is not asking that much. Sigh ...

Hey Rand I was glad to have him there. The pictures were more my fault than anything. Was a quick deal & had I been better at sending people out. I would have had him park in back. Not to exclude him. Only to make sure we could see all the 914's. Still want everyone in the pics. If we weren't all in place with 5 or six cars behind him. I'd have tried to shuffle things some. The person who should really be pissed is me. All those damn inconsiderate people were just standing in front of my car . It's like it wasn't even there .
Please invite him to more event's . It was great having you both there. I was impressed with the times he turned in on the track too. See you both soon

Thanks Jamie. Please no blame on anyone. Thanks for heading up this amazing event! Sorry I misunderstood what the picture fuss was about. Heck, it all happened in a few minutes! The grid just moved forward, had no idea that rearranging staging for the pic would have been a thing. Lesson learned. I was scrambling to get my drone up for a pic, but it happened too fast and I missed the photo op. Caught the tail end... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vEXsi7rnX4

Great pic's and thx for attaching names with them. What was the final head and car count? And what's the deal with the Wx this year? It's tried to ruin two events thus far. Teener owners are a dedicated group.

I'd like to thank:
- Jamie et al (fancy Latin for everyone else who's name i forgot) for organizing this years WCR! Awesome job, as always.
- Everyone who came out! This was a great turnout despite the cold and rainy weather. Always good to see some new faces too.
- Our sponsors who donated a lot of outstanding items for the raffle and food/drinks for the collective.
Andy sums it up perfectly, I had a blast - thank you all!!!!

I also want to echo the sentiments of others and say that we had a terrific time. Thank you Jamie for heading up the event and all the other organizers for putting this together.
You really know how to make us "foreigners" from California feel welcome, if only for the weekend!
I don't know the final head count but the Mexican restaurant on Saturday night was overflowing with WCR folks. As far as 914s at the event, there were at least 35 that I saw and possibly a few more locals that were not staying at the hotel.
BTW, the pictures of the cars with their owners is on page 14 of this thread.

I think it was Steve who told me he counted 39 914's saturday morning before he hit the road back to CA. I didn't get a count for sure but heard numbers ranging from 33 up to the 39. Think we hit 36 at one point friday. Missed some folks who usually make the trip. Had a few new folks who came. Including our 3 generation crew of the Carey's. Mike was the grandpa with his track setup 914. Parker the grandson & I'll leave his dad for last since he was the only one without a 914 . Subtle or not so dig to get him to buy one . I know Parker is seriously hooked now. He had some serious smiles at the track

Congratulations you guys, sounds like I really missed a great one. Track videos, overhead photography, real track time, a nice scenic drive, BBQ and beer, Trophies and prizes all that with a great bunch of people and their sweet teeners. What no dancing girls?

Hell couldn't even hook my own car up for the trip, and it's so close!

DJI Phantom 4. I was intentionally very discreet with it, would have loved to have centered it on the track and caught everything, but it's a controversial thing.

It's legit if you registered it with the FAA. Only $5.

Paid daughters friend to prep car. Clay bar, cleaned, three coats of wax. As a bonus, he checked the oil, tires, etc... Couldn't see oil on the dipstick so he put two quarts in until he could see it. it was fine until I got on it.
He didn't know about engine on, warm, level surface...
Nice kid though. Car looked great!
So yes, just overfilled...

One of those regulators came from me. Add it to your parts stash. It may come in handy sometime. No need for a return. Glad to have helped.

Who was managing that 360fly camera? Was it one of our guys, or the track hosts? It would be really cool to see some of the 360 videos! Are they posted anywhere?

Matt was. Not sure how many he got I know the battery went dead at some point. MArk
