914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Throttle cable routing

Posted by: jack20 May 28 2016, 10:36 AM

I finally installed the engine yesterday. Now I'm doing the hook-ups. I shoved the throttle cable up into the engine compartment through the only available hole in the tin. It doesn't look right. I might have had an old dried out grommet there before but I just can't remember.
Is this where the cable is supposed to go? I looked on 914 Rubber for a grommet and couldn't find one.
Here is a picture. Unfortunately i don't have a good enough "before" picture to help out.
Thanks in advance.

That is the factory hole for the throttle cable. The grommet is nothing special, you should be able to find something suitable at a hardware store.
