914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Installed Mikeys New Frunk Seal

Posted by: 76-914 May 28 2016, 09:40 PM

Just got around to installing 914rubber's new seal. Damn it fits perfectly. As nice a piece as your dash Mark. A work of art. Fits well. Better than OEM. You knocked it out of the park Mark. smilie_pokal.gif

Thanks,
We as many others were also doing were buying a seal that kind of sort of fit, because we could buy it for less than we could make it.
We finally stepped up ($65 total in tooling) and bit the bullet.
You will also notice the corners are actually molded into the part, not just glued like OEM. I'd like to think we made an improvement.

Thanks for the kudos.
Mark

I just ordered up 2

($65 in tooling) I have a feeling that's a typo. biggrin.gif

Thanks for doing these. If the trunk seal is wrong, the hood doesn't look right.

Just wanted to add that glue is not needed. Fits as snug as a bug in a rug.

Good. I wanted to keep it glue free and removable to dry if need be.
