We found this while preparing to remove an engine from a customer's car.
It's a necessary component on a 914.
The part it's modified from is also a needed component, but unknown if actually off a 914.
A sideways thru hole is isn't visible in the pic.
It's pretty crusty so I won't be surprised if no one comes close to getting either the current application or the original.
it kinda sorta looks like a deformed and dirty shifter coupling half?
It does go under the engine, but not a shift part.
It looks like a 13mm bolt with a couple tumors.
Easy: modified door hinge
Selector inside of a tail shifter?
Clutch cable spacer?
Missed the no shifter. Is it a torsion bar/ a arm adj?
It's the proportioning valve for the brake system.
Looks like it might be off a ford pickup, then repurposed for a 914 ?
Don't worry, Eric, I've got this one:
Its got balls on the bottom and threads on the top.
Looks like something I might do.....
But have not done yet.
No idea...
Spring and stop for the thermostat cable?
Engine mount/ door hinge
Shroud vent cover made out of a bolt.
Starter.
Push rod tube...
I think it needs to go back in the toilet.
