wildfire - it focuses your life
(Trailhead fire - google it) blew up 2 days ago - massive air attack has not contained it - crested the last ridge twixt us & evac orders this eve
we've been treated to a fine aerial display for 2 days since most of the borate bombers go quite low right over my house
(s2s, DC-10, BAe-146)
this is one of 2 reasons why my GT is setup to flat tow
the RV is cocked & loaded - we can be out'a here in 20 minutes
if house survives & the tools don't melt, i'll be thankful enuf

Whoa. Your lucky to have the gear to escape with your valuables. Must be really humbling to determine what you would bring with you in a moments notice. Not a better way to identify those things you hold most dear in your life. Let's hope the firefighting teams win this battle.
Be safe but good for you for being prepared.
Wow, I never thought about throwing a 914 in the 'go bag'. 20 minutes to ready is awesome.
I hope you don't have to put it to use. Stay safe.
glad you are getting the notice and have an exit plan in place. I hope you do not have to use it and good luck...
Very smart. VERY! Is 20 enough time? Hope you don't have to start the MH.
Scary stuff
Stay safe Larry!

I've been there before! I back a canyon down here in SoCal, and when we had our fires last year, I was quickly trying to figure out if the house burned down with the car in it, would the insurance pay for the car too...
Hopefully you maintained your "defendable zone" around your properly, stay safe!
Glad that you have a plan. Stay safe my friend...
Takes oics of everything. Helps with insurance. Plus the memories if it does go.
Praying for no problems.
Good on ya Larry. Experienced the same concerns last year with a big fire in Greenhorn here in Grass Valley not far from you. Met you a few times around here locally. Lots of our local fire planes in the air over you now. Keep the family and car safe. Best wishes.
Another good link for staying up to date.

I firmly believe in "being prepared" too -- best of luck to you and keep us posted!
Wow. Best of luck. Great job being prepared. I had to do the 20 minute drill when they evacuated my building on 9/11. Sucks that we sometimes need events like this to determine what's really important in life. Be safe and well
Hope your home and especially you stay safe. Have some close friends that lost there home of 45 years to the Butte Fire last year; tools and cars all melted like butter.
Stay Safe!
Best of Luck and God Bless.
Good luck, stay safe.
No fires here. RV can park in front, I will scoot my car over for yours to fit next to it. (Or better yet get it to the shop for a few things)
Let us know if we can help.
