When putting my 1970 914 into gear lately i'm having to push the clutch almost through the floor ,what could be causing this its only be happening the last couple of trips

It's probably that your clutch cable is stretching, or the adjuster nut has come loose.

Easy fix. Tighten the adjuster nut a few turns, and then see how it feels. Make sure you have a jam nut on there too.

Check your clutch cable tube at the firewall!
