I need a source for 40IDTP parts. One float dented, idle jet carrier cracked on first
carb.

Can't get the large caps on top loose. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The dented float was caused by someone using compressed air on the closed float bowl.
The IDTP is basically an IDA with a few different parts and drillings.

Have you tried seller alfa1750 on ebay or google weber parts on ebay, they have hard parts not listed on their auctions.
They had NLA air bleed screws for my Zeniths 40TIN's that no one else stocked, great service, prices and shipping from Italy.

I found collapsed floats in a pair of 40's too
Caused (pretty sure) by cupping a hand over the throat on a running engine to clear jets.

Not the idle jet holder.

I need the main jet holder. Anyone have spares?

Wait what?

I have never heard of that being a bad thing, and wouldnt that 'pop' the float instead of crush it if it were to do anything bad?
