I was told about a VW style oil cooled engine made by Pauter (the piston and rod company) that was of a larger displacement and made some impressive power. The link is here: http://www.pauter.com/super_pro.htm It looks like they are being used in drag cars, etc. Has anyone seen or heard of these engines? Almost looks like a 914 owners dreams come true.

I know all about them.
Pauter big block and Pauter thunder heads.
VW drag racing only, dude

This engine is good for several 8-second blasts down the strip, and then it's time for new bearings.

Might last a whole minute in a teen.
