I think I found my charging problem. Here's a picture of the bottom of my relay board. I'm told that the big hole and melting on the edges is not normal, and the VR contact spades don't stay up. (What in the world might cause that?) Does anyone have another relay board on the shelf they aren't using?

Post a WTB: in our classified forum.
Try removing the voltage regulator off the board and plugging it directly into the rear engine harness. That should let you know if it is the board. The pins for the VR really just allow the regulator to mount on the board.
This thread got me thinking is there a diy rebuild thread out there for these?
I remember those days.. Lol
So what really needs to be rebuilt on them? Just resolder connections etc?
