Hope any members out there find safety.
That is a serious blaze!
Yes, be safe everyone!
And make sure all 914s in the area find safety too
My parents live in Phelan, so far they are good. said the smoke is so bad you cant see more then a mile.
Last weekend i finished putting the motor back in the car while up in phelan (doing it in a 1 car garage at my house would have been a nightmare). Although the car is sentimental to me due to it being my grandpas, my parents house and my childhood home seems to rank higher.
Im hoping they get it under control soon, but from 0-30,000 acres in less then 18 hours. That is insane.
My high school friend lives up in Oak Hills, and he said when he left the flames were 300 yards away from his house. He told me pulling the motor from his 911 wasnt a good idea. So he had to leave it.
Coondog lives out there and I believe in on Fire Dept; hope you are well.

Sorry to hear,I hope everyone is fine.i know there is a massive evacuation.
30,000 acres thus far and just saw that it's 0% contained! That is scary!
Yes my comment regarding keeping 914s safe was meant to be light hearted, obviously keep friends and family safe first and foremost! Even homes can be rebuilt/replaced.
Slits family lives up the mountain.
Hope they are safe.
Okay Slits, just cuz you cant be there doesn't mean you have to set the whole mountain on fire.
My niece used to be an EMT in L.A. - I remember the photos she showed us & near death experiences she told us about, going in & out of fire zones - what a horrible thing to have to deal with, annually! - especially after having heard of some of them being arson!
Hope everyone is safe & ok!
