I want to use AN fittings and there are adapters for VW tanks. Are the threads the same on 914 tank as VW tank?

I bought the -6 fitting for my tank (CB 3288), fits perfectly.

If you don't want to ever return to using original fittings you can tap the bung with a 1/4 NPT
