My googling can only find one 914 running all black wheels: that awesome black 3.2 at Canepa.
Do any of you guys on here run black front and back?
That's a tough car to follow. But...
Shake your computer... your google is broken
there are many more....
* not sure why the green car shows twice

I plasti-dipped mine when I was running the 5 lug conversion which came with the car when I first purchased it.

Great stuff, thanks chaps. Keep the examples coming!
This was before I went to 5 lug. These are 4 lug Cragar 365s.
7" up front and 8" rears.
Almost black
I blacked out a set of Riv's
I like them much better now.
I have a white 914 that I do not think it would look good with, but I run some matt black on my new Stang. it is all black though. Personally, I think paint, rims, interior....all what you think looks good. Regardless what you have, people will say they like it or hate it. But....they do not pay the bills on the car I do think any stock rims that are painted black are kinda a fad. I personally do not like OEM rims painted in black. Aftermarket larger ones depending on the car and color look nice. But then, I see Acura, Honda, lots of cars with bright blue rims, neon colors, some are stock rims....guess if it makes you happy, that is all that matters. But for a non black car....someone takes stock rims and paints them black....just get nicer rims in gun metal and save the time. My opinion though
This is my new Mustang, pretty much well tuned and modified with Roush and lots of other parts. I ordered it in black and went with the black theme. First thing I did was rip off the stock rims and tires to get black, but it goes with the theme of the car.
Now, I respect all cars, but they need a theme. Bright neon rims or blue would take away from this car. This Stang works with the black rims, they would never work with my white 914.
If I had Fuchs, I would never paint them, but again....I am with a rusting paint job, slapped some Martini Racing decals on it to make it retro racer before I get the entire bod sand blasted and restored due to the bad repaint and rust bubbles.
So, again, it is your car, do as you want with it. I have learned you can NEVER make everyone happy.
My Roush modified Stang makes me very happy with the power and luxury, comfort and just bad arse muscle car I respect.
The 914 takes me back to a simple time....rattles, leaks, noise, no AC and 100 hp, steering and brakes suck...but the most fun I have had since I owned a 914/6 Euro I could not ship back in the military in 1993 after my base closed.
My winter beater.....best AWD Jag you can get on the cheap, 3.0 Ford Jag X-Type, just got snow tires on it, new battery, struts, discs, pads...my winter beater.

Repost of my car from your other thread:
Come on, black?! Ah well "beauty is in the eye of thr beholder"
The beauty of black wheels is that from a distance you can't tell the difference between crazy expensive wheels and a set of 4 black mini-spares.
The gun metal wheels rock, but alas they are not black.
Black cookies
Running 10 spoke Porsche 996 wheels. 5 lug 17" in satin black.
Nice, Gary: the rocker covers fit great. Are they steel?
Still casting around for pics of cars running all black wheels, I came across this one on retrorodmag.com.
It's possibly probably been discussed on the forum already, but I for one had not seen it yet.
I like it a lot!
Soon to be for sale V8,Boxster 6sp transaxle.
I knew I had a picture of mine with black Momo's, with 205/60-15
I think the black on black look (as in the Canepa car) is particularly nice. I also think that a black wheel looks better with a wider tire.
Yep!
Some old pics...

Well it's decided... I'm going all black!
I ran all black wheels on Da Spoodster, I was inspired by this car.
