Does anyone have a good used OE interior 914 rear view mirror or know of a close look alike aftermarket mirror?

You should probably specify if it's for an early car or a later one. Early ones usually are a bit more money.

This is way to go! I have one and it is better. Does not attach to windshield but uses your visor screw holes.

To each their own. The product is first rate. I got tried of my mirror falling off. Got a new windshield so I wanted a better setup. Several 914World members have this setup.

I have a nice teener too! http://terrytuck.com/914.htm

I have one of these in my 914-6, which came to me without a rear view mirror IIRC. This worked BMW mirror seemed like a better option than mounting the stock mirror.

My stock sun visors don't quite clear the mirror when deployed, whether the mirror is mounted in the -6 or the -4. I got a pair of old crusty visors from a fellow member that, eventually, I will reshape and get recovered.

To each his own on the choice of mirror, but the factory-mount retaining screw in my '74 gave out and now I've got a nice metal block solidly mounted to the windshield, and no way to rehang the @#%!$ mirror. And I replaced that windshield not long after I got the car, so I'd rather not ruin it while trying to remove that block...

I bought a new one off of Amazon. Not cheap, but I like the stock look.

I've been undecided unsure.gif on what to do with my own rear view mirror. I have the BMW version but have removed sun visors anyway. I don't like the BMW mirror since it hangs too low and is blocking the view of the road, exactly the opposite of what was advertised by the BMW mirror seller (also in the ebay ad linked in a previous post). Maybe it's because I'm 6'3" ... in any case, I don't like it much. Thinking of going back to stock, but not sure I can - reluctant to pay the $ for a stock mirror that I can't mount if that's the case, but I suppose I could resell it. unsure.gif

I bought one of these BMW mirror conversions for my Six. I just never really liked the stock mirror affixed to the windshield. I will start with this mirror in the car, if that does not work, looks odd or blocks my view, I will source and install a stock mirror. BTW, I scrolled through Mike's (Fitton) pictures of his Six, it is a well done, beautiful car - excellent Six.

I had one of those BMW mirrors. Didn't mind the look, but had major issues with it vibrating.
