Nice looking ride! Welcome to the club!

You are obviously a quick study - posting pictures right away and thus avoiding the dreaded

Congrats!...Nice looking car. Now you'll get the onslaught of jokes on already having it on jackstands! The pic with the cooler looks like you have a custom exhaust/header setup..how is it put together?

Thank you all for the warm welcome smilie_pokal.gif

Jim,

The header is a "Hunter" (either Terry or Harry or something like that). It has a custom Bullet exhaust. The guy I bought it from used to autocross it locally and some tracks up north (LA area).

I plan to autocross it as well with the PCA here in San Diego. Hope it does well.

Funny about the jack stands biggrin.gif I've done nothing but work on this car for the last 3 weekends.

Nice teener! Welcome to the club. You just missed the 914 gang dinner in S.D. last Saturday night.

PCA Autocross is April 30. Get your pre-payment in before April 27 and save $20.

Welcome. Great looking car, a few performance mods, but it still looks clean and original. That's the way to do it - stealth.

Hope you learn to AX is quickly and start kickin some butt in San Diego...

I run in CS, due to non-stock swaybars. I should get stickier tires. Running Azenis right now.

Your swaybars look be stock so you could probably be in CSS.

6 bolt CV joints on the car. Interesting.

Posted by: Oracle Apr 22 2005, 03:25 PM

Mark,

The car is setup to run in the CP class... The 6 bolt CV joints is a nice upgrade from the PO. He must've gone through a few stock CV joints blink.gif

I'm changing the tranny and engine fluids this weekend... It should be ready to run by the end of the month, hope it comes back in one piece biggrin.gif

Was the PO an MD with initials GS?

Posted by: Oracle Apr 22 2005, 03:37 PM

Funny you mention it... The 914 has taken over most of my free time and most of my available funds. My girlfriend and friends are not very much amused confused24.gif They just don't understand laugh.gif

Posted by: Oracle Apr 22 2005, 03:38 PM

The previous owner was B. A.

Not sure what MD means... ??

Posted by: Dead Air Apr 22 2005, 11:22 PM

MD = Doctor? Can we get some shots of the motor, carbed? Where's the console? Welcome, these a**holes taught me how to buy a 914!! And, boy ain't I glad, or am I?

Posted by: Dr Evil Apr 23 2005, 02:27 AM
