914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Rocker Arm Spring Washer

We are assembling a 1974 2.0 motor and ran into a small problem. One side had washers which we identified as "thrust" washers. on the rocker arms while the other did not. See pictures below. Research says they were discontinued (maybe replaced in the mid 70's) can someone tell if they are needed or not? Thanks inasvance.

Yes. Porsche does not put in parts that are not needed in engines. I can mail you one for mailing cost.

Another option is the solid spacers to replace the springs that come with the cam package from the type IV store.
