I wasn't really caught of guard with the way weather is forecasted nowadays. And it didn't end up being the snowmageddon some of the weather people were expecting.
At least its got the snow tires on it, well one anyway. doesn't really matter at this point. Not like its going anywhere under its own power for awhile.
Anyone else have any snowy shots of their car(s) out in the snow? Functioning or non-functioning like mine currently is.

Snow was something we lived with. Never had winter tires; just put the chains on if the snow got too deep. Young, foolish and no money. Turned it sideways a couple of times but never hit anything.

Normal snow for Bavaria back then. We don't get near as much snow now. Notice the missing rear valence. When my muffler rusted through, I bolted on a 911 muffler and the valence would't fit so I threw it away. Used 911 mufflers were cheap.

Thats a great photo. Get the car centered in the frame and that'd make an excellent calendar shot.

I'll have to try again this winter
I had some video of this too but my wife neglected to tell me one of my wheels was frozen so it just shows me going slow and getting stuck a lot.

We made the 7 hour drive from Nashville to Columbia Missouri about 1 year ago for the UT - Mizzu game. Woke up on game day to a dusting of snow. Must have been a mist on the windshield when I turned the car off.
It was an extremely cold weekend. I must have spent $60 on Hot Chocolate at the game. A new favorite.... Hot Chocolate and Jack Daniels!

March 2009, CVAR had races at Hallett, OKlahoma. On Saturday, the track "enjoyed" the highest recorded snowfall in a 24 hour period to date. About 30 tow trucks drove the track for hours while it was snowing in an attempt to melt snow on the track. Saturday was scratched, Sunday was ....I don''t know how to describe 27 degrees at sunrise with snow for racing conditions. I am glad I raced, but not sure the 80 or so of us would try again. It was fun!! Watching an MG "burrow" into a 3ft deep snow drift was wild.

Driving home during a major snow storm a few years ago. There was a hill a couple miles from work where people had trouble (me among them) due to slippery incline. There were several good samaritans helping push vehicles up over the crest
Ended up stopping about half way home and staying in a hotel overnight. The roads to the house were at a standstill
This is east Tennessee... they don't have the equipment to clear roads. This same storm in the northern/midwest states would have been nothing

I hate that, and then one day it will be gone and the guy will say he scrapped it or sold it for $300, even though you asked about it for years. That's why you ask often, don't worry about annoying somebody, we have a saying, "What is someone going to do, double not sell me the car?"

That's what Lake Shore Drive looks like in January in Chicago! Can't drive a 914 around here in the snow because they use a mixture of about 50% road salt to 50% snow, and it just eats older cars up...

Another year in the snow taken today when going through Allen Park MI this 1974 914's been here since 2014:hissyfit:
It's been in this auto repair shop's yard waiting for repairs by some owner who took it in with promises of repairs. I asked the shop owner for the owner's name and he will not admit anything except it's not for sale.
In my opinion the shop will probable own it someday with a fake repair bill Anyone on this site the owner?????
