914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 914-6 Oil Filler Cap

Posted by: gcrotvik Nov 26 2016, 01:04 PM

I have an OE oil filler cap that needs to be replated. Are there replacement seals? I believe it's cork.

Thanks,

Greg

You can buy sheet cork and just cut a new one yourself. Back in the day I used to make gaskets all the time. Napa or others should have the material.

Yep - I've plated a couple of these.

there are rubber seals that will work in place of the cork if you don't want to use the cork
