Don't forget to wear a dustmask when you start cutting panels off, graphite ain't good for the lungs. wink.gif

Interesting approach to a closed trailer. You loose the benefit of having everything hidden from the less scrupulous (sp?), but while you're towing you get to show off your toys like the open trialer boys.

God hates those cars, odds are that car never makes it home.

That is a nice rig.

I would hate to tow a trailer with tires that small. just wait for one to Pop ohmy.gif

Think about the wheel speeds on that trailer when you're doing 120 down the highway... LOL

I hope they have some type of low air pressure warning system for the trailer. I would hate to loose a $450K car due to a $78.00 tire coming a part. sad.gif

Is it just me, or does that Carrera GT look longer than a Cayenne?

Posted by: tat2dphreak Apr 25 2005, 12:02 PM

looks like someone bought a glass hat to show off their new haircut... screwy.gif

I also didn't know of trailers with plastic training wheels...

That trailer looks like a modified popemobile.

agree.gif Its happened to me before and it sucks (now all of our trailers have bigger wheels)

Yeah, this is totally the automotive equivalent of the Pope-mobile. Nice pic.

BTW, I pride myself as kinda being a car nut, so I bet a co-worker that a Mercedes G500 SUV was longer than a Honda Accord coupe. I lost... blink.gif

and why would larger diameter rims and tires help??? screwy.gif

as long as those pictured are rated for the load and speed, taller tires don't do squat for a trailer....if anything, the trailer should be more stable with the lower OD tires if one pops.....those don't look like the little skinny tires you see on those cheap pop-up trailers smile.gif

Posted by: jd74914 Apr 25 2005, 06:50 PM

I agree. I guess I should clarify myself. We used to use a cheapo trailor with the relatively skinny, small diameter wheels for small hauls, when the tires popped, we switched to only using trailers with larger diameter tires so they don't get as hot, and blow out.

Posted by: lagunero Apr 25 2005, 07:23 PM

cool pic. The one thing that caught my eye were the wheels on the trailer. To think that this trailer set up is anything like what we have in the States would a mistake. European trucking is as precise and advanced as their sports cars.

All it needs is a guy in it , wearing a tall funny hat, waving
