its a non numbers matching, but apparently correct enine type, in a 63 carrera 2, can anyone justify with the vin?

I had no idea that this car could fetch a price like that..... wow.

Especially with a non-original engine.... damn.

The last 4 cam engine I built cost the customer 65K and he had a good core!

Reall Carreras have 4 cams and the engine is like working on a Swiss watch... Setting the timing alone is amazingly difficult.

I'm surprised when a four-cammer comes up for sale. These are usually negotiated between those in the know. Very rare and very expensive.

A friend Ed Sweeney, from Fresno CA. had one he bought in 1970 with no engine. put in a 912 engine in it drove it for years . Moved to Seattle got rearended 2 times . Fixed both times Sold it for 32,000.
He is happy.
Current owner looking for 4 cam engine etc.

Here is a 1956 Carrera Chassis I just bought. I have been after it for 14 years. It was hit in the rear HARD in 1969. Sitting every since.

My former boss had one in the shop that belonged to his best friend (who just had it rebuilt) and that thing is freakin amazing to "study" in person. Carbs Aaron biggrin.gif Check out the guys other auctions ohmy.gif I hates that summa ma beetch

typically, Solex 40-PJJ (carbs)
