i'm bidding, but only semi serious right now... and it's only 400 miles from me, and I know Gint has a trailer

That looks pretty clean. Do you know if Mercdev ever found a car?? If not he might be interested.

color=4B0082 (indigo) is the closest I could come to.

It was a stock 911 color. This car was Aubergine from the factory (color code 98 - custom).
It's also strange because this car photographs so poorly. In pictures in bright light, the car appears almost black. But not so in person.

You need another 914 Ferg?
You'll just end up throwing a -6 in it...you know you will.
BTW: I think Aubergine (not purple) is an awesome color on a 914.

Hey, that's not so bad. My dad had a 68 Impala when I was a kid, we called it "The purple
pitstop" similar color, only yours is darker. Don't repaint!

what is the color code for the 911? I love the aubergine color... I won't even make fun of you and call it purple
some of the eggplant cars I've seen have faded and because of the fade look purple, but I love the DARK aubergine, it should be so dark some may think it's black!

Leave it to the Concours Weenieto buy a PURPLE car and get all hoity toity and try to call it some high falutin name like "aubergine". You just had to replace the whine and cheese tail dragger with some uppity colored 914. 
Oh, and I seem to remember that before you bought your six, you had to borrow YOUR toowenche's bumblebee too.

Thanks for the compliments. I think some nice Fuchs, some suspension tweaking (including some Konis), a set of SSIs, and it'll really brighten everything up.
It just needs some TLC... and some tunes.
