I had gotten the Craig Davies remote water pump.
Long story short, there were porosity problems with the flanges leaking, after the first vendor had my mechanic send them in to some outfit in CA, only to come back all 3 times leaking still.
I got my $ back from that vendor, and proceded to get the hose kit from another vendor on Ebay, only to have the same fun experience, after he said that he was not having any issues with them.
Unfortunately I didn't get the memo from my mechanic when he got in contact with the dude from Australia, and that they had problems with porosity, and was going to send me one from a good batch about the time I disputed the charge from the first vendor, and they stayed in AU.
I also emailed him before and after Christmas with no response, and my mechanic as well with no response back.
I called Ebay to see if they would try and contact him for me, and no such luck.
This is the last response I got from the last vendor. I'm hoping this isn't the same outfit, otherwise I am just wasting my time.
Let me do this for you. Give my manufacturer a call and explain the issues you've been having, he should be able to resolve the issue or find a solution for you. Please tell him James at Hinson Motorsports told you to contact him because of this issue. Let him know you purchased the part or one of the items from us. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope this helps you resolve the issue.
Our supplier is 3P Connect and my contact there is Marty - ***-***-**** or you can email sales...at...3pconnect...dot...com
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
Thanks

I bought a Stewart EMP and have never had a problem. It's so quiet, I can't hear it running.
Andyrew has a Craig Davies on his Audi build. No word if he has any problems.
Here is my pump http://www.stewartcomponents.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=63&product_id=69
Andyrew is Andrew Dalen. Search his build thread under Andyrew.
The only issue I have with my system is that it works too well. The pump is too effective on just its pulse cycle that the system stays too cool. Im going to add the factory thermostat back in to try and get the system back to good operating temps.
When I was dry fitting everything I noticed the plastic blades were touching on the housing so I sanded them down half a milimeter
I havent had any pourous issues with it. It doesnt leak or anything.
I am glad this came up. The Craig Davies pump was one my list of parts to get for my LS swap. Now that all this has come to light, seems there are better options out there. Thanks fellas.
Where did you buy it from, what model did you get, and what was in the box?
I bought remote water pump flanges off ebay. If you search LSX remote water pump adapters, bingo there they are.
Cant help you there. Looks like your issues are in relation to the fittings and not the pump itself. Have you checked to make sure your block is perfectly flat and that the fittings are flat as well? Are you using any sealant or just the gasket? I have never had good luck with just gaskets and seal everything with a little RTV on both surfaces.
My pump is SOLID. I dont worry about it at all It is massively under-worked in my setup. Probably just right for a v8.
I'll be taking it to a guy that teaches the welding class out at the Central Tech that I know, and see if he can rework them, to make them functional. This other route is going nowhere fast. That's about the only thing that is going fast, is going nowhere fast.
I should find out tomorrow from him if it is doable to try and weld them. I'm not totally sure if it is cast aluminum. Should only take a second to see if it is going to fly or not. Otherwise this looks like maybe something suitable?
