I need a Canadian version, 97 ONLY, "short nose" passenger fender. It has a little intake grill cut into the fender, right by the air filter.
In the US, 97's have a "long nose". Canadian 98's are "long nose" too.
Can someone help? Keep an eye out for one at the pic'n pull, please?
The odds of finding one around my area are pretty slim to nill, I would imagine. I could do some searching if you'd like. I'm thinking that it would be easier to find in the Alberta, B.C., or Ontario regions.
that'll be great! any help will do.

Likely your best bet is to have a look in British Columbia, for the closest (cheapest shipping), most likely place (lots of VWs dude) for that part. If no go there are 'prolly lots of members who can poke around in Ontario for you.
Here are a couple of VW recyclers in the greater Vancouver area that you can try. Also, try a “power search” for Eurovan in the Buy & Sell http://www.buysell.com .

I have a VW only scrapyard, here. Has about 5 Eurovans.
I will check tomorrow and let you know what I find, at least for a backup.
Good luck

Dave do you have specs on the 97?
Hate to have a wrecker say yes we have one, only to find out it is from the wrong year. They might not know the difference between 97 & 98....
Is it only 97 that was made this way?

You can if you get one from a later Canada-only Transporter (should be in the ETKA...but I'd have to check to be sure if it's listed). The '97 Transporter in Canada was short-nose but had the vent. |

the top of the fender will/should have a "recessed" area, to match the cowl area (early models only have this). |
How come you need a fender?

Tunns of 94-95 stuff...yes my scap dealer seemed to know all about the differences. He says the older ones are identical, except the mounting, but I bet hes full of shit. He said 100$ can for it - 75$ USD.
Have you VW part # ?
I'll see what I dig up, at worst I will find the rite P# and you can see if you can order it thru a VW outlet.
