Does anyone have the measurements for installing the GT Fender flares. I have a set from AA and was just wondering where I should line them up before cutting
You center them over the wheel opening.
Can't remember where I found this ....
There are a number of threads about installing flares and the sorts of things you'll run into:

Post up your pics as you get to doing the install and best of luck!
Hi,
I used these measurements but there is a quarter inch wiggle room at least on the factory specs. I basically lined them up against the old arches to be safe...

It was a little scary, but I used where the sidelight fits to check against others I have seen here. Measure twice and cut once is how I went about it. The AA flares took some beating to get the wrinkles out of the pressings. But quality was very good.
Good Luck with it...
Just realised this is my first post, so "Hello from England".

Looks like that wasn't your first time welding.
I was reading through some of the old flare threads (mine included) and noticed I really didn't mention the importance of the front flare placement. The rear is pretty simple, just center the stock wheel opening to the flare wheel opening and you're good.
The front is a little different and can cause issues. Each set of flares can be a little different, but I remember you have to move the flares on the front forward a little. If you center wheel opening to wheel opening, the tire runs the risk of rubbing on the front. Especially if you have larger than stock tires. I think it mostly has to do with the scrub radious? Spacers used or not etc.
If you tape up the front flares perfectly centered, then bolt on some 8 inch fuchs and turn the steering wheel lock-lock, you'll see what I mean.
It's either forward or back, can't remember anymore.
forward
Thanks Jeff, hope all is well!
This is what I did. Put 8 x 16 on and centered it up. The measurements from the sketch in the earlier post are what I used at first but it did not look right up front.
For the backs, I had Marty’s rear valance and that was right on. I also screwed with some GT rockers but I had 2 different sets and the lengths where different on both brands. Ended up going with AA rockers molded from his GT

Thanks everyone for your input. I had the factory measurements at one point in time, but when my computer crashed all that went with it.
Found this in my 914 staff folder....Jim
The bottom of the flares wont line up, you will have to reshape the flare bottoms. Aline the top center, then center to the wheel. I hung all 4 with bunige cords and marked for alingment, befor any cutting.
The stock rocker covers I modified to closely match the flares, and stayed with factory mounting style.
