Read the PCA rulebook too. http://www.pca.org/zone8/rules/2004Z8DrivingRules.htm. 2056 / 1971 = 1.04.

however - that is *not* "the" PCA rulebook.
that is the Zone 8 Driving Event rulebook.
all these rules are Zone and even Region-specific.

(lots of guys on the West Coast - Zones 7 & 8 - don't realize that they are the only two Zones in PCA right now with Zone-wide events and consistent rulebooks.)

there are only two rulebooks consistent across all of PCA:
1) the Parade Competition Rules, which are in effect for one event a year.
2) the PCA Club Race Rules

My 2056 Djet car has run great for 5+ years. Slight adjustments were made to tune the MPS using a A/F meter at a dyno.

My best dyno run was 95 hp at the rear wheels = about 110hp.

I have it all apart for a cam change and new rings plus a better oil pump. Still waiting for the rings.. dry.gif

pca rule book confused24.gif I'm so slow nobody would notice my 3.0 djet anyway
I just wanted to hear from those who made it work and what was required to make it work
what compresion did you run?
was it too lean with teh stock MPS?

95 whp blink.gif That's it? I would think it would be more...?

My 2007cc Type 3 engine puts out http://www.icbm.org/erkson/personal/squareback_dynojet.jpg on poorly tuned duel Dellortos. Wouldn't a Type 4 on FI put out more? Maybe the benefit is better gas mileage? unsure.gif

This is interesting. You get assessed more points for switching to carbs:

It looks like going from D-Jet to Megasquirt or CIS to Megasquirt is points free. A loophole?

The stock FI cam limits your hp alot. Thats why I am switching cams and valve springs but lots of torque; about 108ftlbs at the rear wheels.

Adjusting the MPS depends on the mods you do. If you just change piston size a 043 MPS is still pretty close.

After I put this engine back together I'll dyno it to see what it puts out.

oh, most stock 2.0l's put out about 80-85 hp at the rear wheels that I have seen.

Thats a bunch of power considering the fi power band. Joe's 2056 was one of the quicker 4's ive been in.

I think I have a big bore on my 2.0 DJET, flat top pistons, no dish at all - so probably 96's. Ran good!
