About 8 months ago I removed 2 of the nuts that hold the valve rocker assembly to the head while the engine was out of the car and I know they are in a safe place - but I just don't recall where that is right now. 
Are they 7mm standard thread? Also - is the washer a special washer?

Not sure about the nut thread, but the washer is a wavy-type. I have some spares if you want.

Thanks Ian - I appreciate the offer. If I need to buy the nut (nothing local 6mm and 8mm but no 7mm) I might buy the wavy washer as well.

Yes, it's 7x1mm but it's a 10.9 grade that is hard to find. You will probably find plenty of 8.8 grade.
I'm assuming this is the nut you're talking about. You can bearly see but it's marked 10 (for 10.9)

Thanks Curt - I just remembered I have a set of 2.0L heads in storage (I think). Let double check those first.
BTW - I still haven't cooked a brisket this year and am anxious to use your injection!

Yes, it's 7x1mm but it's a 10.9 grade that is hard to find. You will probably find plenty of 8.8 grade.

Yes - the 10.9 is very hard to find in 7mm - though I could find it all day long in 6mm or 8mm. Thanks for validating the thread and pitch.

I've only cooked one this year. At $100.00 for a 16 lb'er, might be the only one for a while.

Stainless is too soft for a head bolt.

Hex head, not hex bolts for the head.
