I wish I had a six!! headbang.gif

Did the 6's not have the center vent on the dashtop like the 4's did?

Posted by: SLITS May 16 2005, 04:38 PM

WOW, it's got the VERY VERY RARE "SUCH ALLOW" wheels......I gotta buy this. dry.gif

Glenn's car doesn't have the center vent and that's as much as I know.

Didn't this same car sell for like $23K on ebay last year? I think it was the same seller even.

Posted by: Porsche Rescue May 16 2005, 07:25 PM

Only the 70/71 4's had the center vent. Fresh air for the six comes through the defrost and/or footwell vents like a 911 of the same age.

Interesting. I learned something new today. Now I can turn my brain off for the rest of the night. biggrin.gif

Does anyone know where I can get a harness bar like the one in the Blue 6?

Posted by: smooth_eddy May 16 2005, 08:04 PM

I see they say it has a "LOW RESERVE". Bidding is at $21.6k, and the reserve still has not been met. I guess his low reserve is different than mine, wacko.gif Eddy

I can sell you a harness bar when my cage gets finished.

It will be finished last week.

I might be interested if Retrotech doesn't want it.

I'm pretty sure this is a different metallic blue one, the other was much nicer if it's the one I am thinking of.

man! this guy must own stock in armor all. he even got the spare.

Wider Light-Alloy Wheels and flatter Tires were standard equipment...

I think I need some "flatter tires" for better performance.

Awful late build date for a 1970 model....5/70.

What? ...Nevermind... lol2.gif

I remember this 6. It was at the German Autofest three years ago. The owner had it there for sale for $24k.

Why would you use armor on the air cleaner and not cleanup the carbs?

$24-$27K seems about right for one in this good condition. wub.gif

Posted by: 0396 May 17 2005, 06:45 AM

I called to guy,

He got it on a trade, he's willing to let it go for 30k huh.gif

Posted by: ninefourteener May 17 2005, 07:20 AM

30K??? huh.gif

Why would you start tyhe bidding at $2000, and then still not meet the reserve $20,000 later?

I mean.... it is a nice ride though.. no doubt.

Posted by: 914rrr May 18 2005, 05:21 AM

It's a nice car, but $30k is waaaay strong. I'd expect a 100 point car with PERFECT paint in the trunk areas and no cheesy undercoating on the pan for that price to happen. It's a nice repaint, but not an "everything out / off" repaint. I predeict it won't sell and if it does, I'd be suspicious of shill bidding. dry.gif

I was thinking that for even low twenties you should get non-rusty, non-wavey bumper tops.

Posted by: Chris914n6 May 18 2005, 10:26 AM

I agree, what kind of 914 owner doesn't have a good degreaser??!! dry.gif
I like the color though, same as my racer body biggrin.gif
He also put the top in backwards... wacko.gif

hahahahahahaha laugh.gif pray.gif DAMN you guys don't miss a thing. beerchug.gif

I agree that for 30k, IMHO you gotta be a little closer to perfect than this one seems to be. Who knows though? I am also of the opinion that 914s have reached legit collector status, and prices will continue increase. monkeydance.gif
