Stumbled onto these. Any info/experience from anyone. I'm sure they're Chinese knockoffs. They look purty.

Apparently they only sell rights. Lefts aren't offered in the sellers other items. Or a SET! I don't quite get it.

The left side is in a link under Related Items in the description.
Not sure about the "hard oxidation paint" coating. WTF is that?

Another angle.

'Hard Anodizing' put through the Google Translate grinder.

There it is. nice job mark.

Seems expensive for reman calipers. They typically go for 150-200 @ rockauto.com.

In condition, BRAND NEW. What....

Looks like most of the sellers other stuff is made in Taiwan. Might actually be a decent product. You can even order some 911 front a-arms at the same time

There is another seller (356 Devotion I think) that is selling a PAIR 70-72 914 front calipers for $99.99. NOT ATE for sure.
Posted by: arne Sep 14 2017, 01:42 PM
Here he offers a pair for a $40 savings.

Sorry "M" calipers

Do note the piston is mill finish. It will corrode.
Posted by: Mikey914 Sep 14 2017, 02:38 PM
If there is seriously enough demand, I will make these just as soon as I finish the master cylinders. I'm sure I could be in that ballpark in quantity. Maybe an early and late version?

They might look pretty, but if they leak, whatcha gonna do?
I got some originals, and rebuilt them. Car stops!

I've sold reproduction S calipers that look like the real thing.
Nobody here purchased any. I think the price went down a bit.
If someone wants to buy a set, I'll check.

I don't necessarily care if they look like the real thing. I'm just curious if the ebay ones are decent quality at that price point. BTW, I have real S calipers, so not necessarily in the market.

We've used a couple sets on 911 builds and they work perfectly. I have no idea about the ebay product.

I sent a question to the ebay seller. According to him, these calipers are also made in Taiwan.
