Wow he seems to have a few! Is it a BB Jeff? Sure looks to be at the least possibly an LE. If it isn't a rust bucket that's a steal

Need more investigating than just a picture on Craigslist. Why are those Mahle's alloy not yellow? Maybe a tribute car? I had a dream I found a BB in a barn somewhere in America...cool dream.

Sure more probing is required, but nothing looks out of place so far for it to not be a BB
For the same reason the original yellow front bumper was painted black.

But, would a guy who has that many 914s really not know what to look for?
It could be a ruse........?

We'll find out if the seller answers my email requesting the Vin & Chassis #.

I'm in SFO, it was really hard not to grab a rental and head down.ut I sure don't need another project. Even if it's a LE. That would be worse, cause then I'd have to play with it.

Yellow passenger door - hmmm...
Driver front fender looks yellow with black spray over (look at the edge near the door).
I've seen those cars once. They are all a pile of Rudy, barely hold togethers by a combination of mud and ducktape.

I agree, be very careful thinking you are out-thinking a guy with a yard full of 914's. It could be a BB, or it could be a car with some yellow paint and wheels. The difference is in the details. Buying a car based on a few visual cues can lead to a lot of $$$ trouble.
Like the time I went to go buy a 67 911S, except the S was the S on the VIN plate that meant it was made in Stuttgart. You can read about it here.
