As called out in the title.

Did you a bunch of replacement glass for the mirrors, $9.14 each.
Will be $15 after the GB

Have a few other goodies I'm butting together here too so you could combine.
Just bump the thread if you are interested.
Pics to follow Sunday, but you get the idea.

Mark, Are these flat or convex mirrored glass?

Posted by: bretth Sep 23 2017, 07:03 AM

One for my 75 please.

Posted by: markhoward Sep 23 2017, 08:06 AM

Im in..

Posted by: Mikey914 Sep 23 2017, 09:33 AM

These are flat not convex. I made off the 75 I have and it fits the 73.
So where is the cut off? I had not noticed early and late. I'm assuming 72 or earlier?
I'll have to procure a sample to check. If they are smaller I can accommodate fairly easy.

Early is a sharp, right angle for the chrome arm. About a 1/4” smaller glass. Different plastic spacer and trim.

Thanks for volunteering a sample. For the record, do you know the production breaks on these?

Either way I'll have both.
Thx

Some pictures on these as well as the assembly procedure. Not the plastic "ring" is best bent in from the longer sides to remove.

Yes. Original glass (with most of the silver missing) headed your way - usps priority.

I would like to join this group buy but I need to confirm if I have late or early mirrors that need the glass replaced in them.

No not currently. For what application?

the same door mirrors as this project...thanks

Posted by: Mikey914 Oct 4 2017, 07:00 PM

Factory didn't make a convex, at least not that I know of.
Easiest way I can think to make a one off is to find a larger mirror and wetland down.

Posted by: GregAmy Oct 5 2017, 07:16 AM

Bump, interested. I have a '74 and the driver's mirror angles down (isn't horizontal), so I may have the wrong one(s). I'd like two whole complete assemblies for my car, both sides, so I can see what's over my shoulders without turning my head...
