I need some advice for replacing my heads. After only 2k miles my engine dropped a valve seat. The engine dude I used was a big mistake. The engine was running strong before the valve seat went south. I am leaning toward new heads because a rebuild for 40 year old heads is not a good idea. In a recent post McMark referenced that AA has new castings that look good but they are round port heads. How do you make them work with oval headers? I appreciate any and all comments.
Thanks Brian

Round ports are oval, square ports are later bus heads.

No recourse with the builder or are you just looking to avoid him altogether?

Yup, round=oval ports. Just a naming thing. Call them either one and you're talking about the same thing.

But square ports are different.

I just want to forget that total experience. I just hope what nothing else surfaces.

Once purchased, how much more $ needs to be spent for a decent hardware setup? (stockish build)
