Trying to figure out who makes this one, is it still available, etc.
Any help appreciated.

My car came with that one. I'm not sure who made it but it is attractive and sadly, I tore it off loading on the trailer one day. Good luck tracking it down. I haven't seen it offered new. If you find one, I'd bet 914Rubber could reproduce it...
Doesn't Renegade have something close to that???

This is what I found on Renegade.
Similar concept but not quite what tygaboy is showing.
From PMS, even closer. Seems to be for flared car.
I think this one from Patrick is closer. I can rework the opening to approximate the one I'm looking for...

I have the QRS GT valance on a watercooled car, works great. Looks slightly different, the standard GT style, http://www.qrsfiberglass.com/shop/porsche-914-gt-fiberglass-front-valance, good quality and only 135 bucks.
I'd love to find an LE or similar looking one to that for a flared car, oil cooler opening or not. Saw an awesome custom one a couple years ago at Amelia Island.
Good looking valence, I think it used to be referred to as an upside down LE style. Haven't seen one in a long time.
Back to the thread's original question, who does that version of the LE with cooler opening (post #1)? Custom or available?
Agreed PMS is expensive compared to what is available out there (A.I.R, Getty, others...)
It appears that the item in my original post is NLA.
If anyone has one and is willing to loan it to me so I can pull a mold, I'll happily pay.
Short of that, and unless something used comes up for sale, I'm just going to make my own.
I'll need to get the front flares on the car first but in the end, I'll have a mold and would be able to make these for others who were interested.
But don't hold your breath.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=19241 did you ever end up making this front valance? I was searching for the exact same thing after looking at the one on PMS and google threw up this thread in the search results.
Looks like they cut the center of an LE and slid it down flush, then filled in the transitions.
Reviving this old thread @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=19241 .
A front valance like the one you originally posted 4 years ago is currently for sale on eBay but definitely not cheap... No mention as to who is the manufacturer though...
Here are the pictures from the eBay add for posterity and the link which will obviously become obsolete in the near future.

Man, that is a terrific looking valance for the flared front cooler cars.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=12023 - Thanks for the heads up! I'v put in an offer on that ebay auction so we'll see. If I do end up with it, I'll work get get a mold made so others can get this style, too.
Thanks again!
Chris
Did you win??
There's another thread on that spoiler
I think it was last seen or produced by Chris Foley at Tangerine racing.
Pics are of my DIY version.....before and after
sorry about the cluttered before picture....It's the only one I have

Congratulations! Very happy this worked out! Now it is among our group!
If you ever get to make these, please let me know.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=12023 - Thanks again for alerting me to the ebay auction. I owe you!
The valance arrived today and a quick "hold it in place" test suggests it's a REALLY nice fit everywhere, even at the flares. It looks to be a very nice piece with no work needed before installing. Rare in the world of 914 fiberglass parts!
I'll get it mounted in a day or so and post some pics.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=26011 I figured you'd want to know, too.
Stoked for you man! I love those rare finds!
I really do hope it’s practical for you to tweak the mold to make some “unflared” versions for the 4 cylinder cars! I know it’s work, but if it looks as good as I think it will, I bet there’s legit profit in the endeavor.
Van
Take and post more pictures of the valance prior to installation too in various angles.
Happy this worked out for you!
I am trying to establish what I will use for valance with a cooler opening. I like my LE replica and I have been studying what others have done Googling everywhere. That is how I actually ran into the eBay add. I immediately recognized it and dug up your thread.
Another nice candidate is the one from PMS, especially with the flush mounted grill, but he doesn't offer it for non-flared cars. I know he's obviously not the one glassing it, but I know it's proprietary.
Fun stuff!
I am 100% in for one if they're reproduced. My car has been naked in the front for the past 6 years because nobody makes a flared front valance except for the GT one.
Crappy MS Paint skills aside, here's what I'm planning for my H2O build.

An appropriate name for this valence would be the LE GT or GT LE
Both look really good.
Very nice integration of the larger needed opening Tygaboy.
Although both valances discussed here are somewhat based on the LE design concept, they both share a important change in the shape. The fact that the lower line is continuous adds surface to the front allowing to create the opening on the upper part and keep a nice balance in the overall appearance.
LE valance on a faded paint car
Tygaboy's new valance
PMS' seems to be very tight with the bumper and I suspect that, unlike the standard or LE valance, it is also attached to the lower edge of the front bumper. I believe we can see holes on the upper fold in this picture. Minimizing that gap and having that grill flush really blends the hole front, maybe something to keep in mind...
Excellent!
Thank you for the added pictures!
