2018 914 CALENDAR GROUP BUY

The calendar will feature 13 914s (12 months, plus the cover) chosen by voting on 914world.


If you would like to buy a calendar they are $12.99, 2 calendars for $20.99, or 3 calendars for $28.99 (one for the garage? Office?). All prices include shipping (CONUS).

To reserve them you can just post in this thread how many you would like.

They will start shipping at the end of this week. It takes a few days to get them all out. With Christmas being Monday we will continue to ship them next week.

I've gotten calendars for the past 3 years no problems. I'm only antsy now because I'm tired of looking at snow

Also, quite a few orders came up after the cut off date, so they might have actually gone to press a few days later than we were told to include them.

With the lack of attention on multiple fronts this years, I'm thinking there is something going on behind the scenes we don't know about.

I don't mind them being late, due to the late voting, etc, but it would be nice if there was an honest update, with realistic expectations instead of the "check is in the mail"

I’m beginning to wonder! My 3 calendars have not shown up, is this going the way of the magazine. Generally have calendars up on the 1st of the year now getting closer to half way though the first month!

Still waiting here as well. I was hoping to wrap it up and put it under the tree as a gift from the Mrs. (the kids enjoy this even though they know we pick out our own stuff 75% of the time), but that didn't pan out this year.

On Thursday Jan 4th it was written "most were mailed out the previous week" which would have been Dec 24- Dec 30th. No one actually has one in their hands yet?

I did not order a calendar this year because of the magazine problems. At this time I'm skeptical that any of us will ever receive a magazine subscription refund. Steve Martin has a 914-6, two 914 four cylinder cars, and a boxster but can't make it right with us by giving the refunds we are entitled to? If you get your calendars you're lucky.

I got an email saying my calendars are going out today. Worse case I should see them in a week. Funny but I already bought a Walmart stars wars calendar and just put my Porsche Clock on the top to look at, instead of the monthly Star Wars character.

If people have received a calendar then they have been printed, so my guess is that either Steve is so poorly organized that he is not sure who paid and where to ship them or it could be a cash flow problem too, no money for shipping now since he spent the money he received up front to print them.

As I message the people complaining here, some of them didn’t even order a calendar. All of the calendars have mailed, except for a few that didn’t provide a mailing address. I have emailed them and will send them out as as we get an address. This year was slightly delayed due to getting a late start (the debate over whether to do a calendar in the first place), three winning photos were not high enough resolution to print full size and had to be replaced - rather than throw them out we chose to wait to get the higher resolution photos), and the printer changed their schedule so they were closed the Friday before Christmas (since Christmas was on a Monday). That was why I posted earlier in the thread that I didn’t think we would be able to get them out before Christmas.

I’m not on the forum everyday. If you have a question please PM me, then I get it immediately.

Correct. If you don’t include your address we can’t send your calendar. Thus the email requesting your address.

Just checked my 11/18 Paypal receipt - my full name and mailing address were clearly indicated in the Notes section. Post #18 of this thread indicates this as well.

We can’t send your calendar if you don’t provide your address. It is not included in PayPal on our end, as far as I can find.

Same here, payment sent 11/23/2017 with BOTH a paypal shipping address AND a name and address in the notes.

Just seems strange that paypal has the buyer enter a shipping address but fails to supply it to the seller!

No big deal. I’m happy everybody got theirs. Some of them arrived later than I like. Once the project got behind it just snowballed. Live and learn. Next year I’ll make sure to start earlier and finish it up in early December.

Can't say this is what happened as I didn't look at the mailing date when I got mine; but the other day I got a "bill" that was post marked Dec 11 and a payment I sent (something different) hadn't arrived two weeks later that normally is only one or two days.
