I'm refurbishing my main wire harness and looking for suggestions for sourcing sleeve material to replace my brittle and oversprayed stuff. I know I can get PVC sleeve from McMaster-Carr as described in http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?s=&showtopic=99174&view=findpost&p=1212109. But this doesn't quite get me there.
There are two sections of sleeve before and after where the two headlight circuits branch that are slit and taped sleeves. I'm thinking just buy some oversized PVC sleeve for that and slit it myself unless someone has a better idea.
On the rest, the small diameter sleeve appears to be heat shrink and maybe all of it is. Regardless, you can't get a tight factory fit with plain PVC sleeve without removing all, or most, of the terminals. I'd like to avoid that. So wondering what heat shrink material would have the same glossy black finish as the original sleeves.
Thanks for any advice.
Have you seen this 2:1 shrink from Techflex? Might not be a high enough shrink ratio to get the terminals through, but I'm not sure.

Note: Never used it, but have been happy with other Techflex products.
I used Convoluted Tubing, available at most parts houses and come in different diameters

A friend just bought Flexo Woven Wrap TechFlex Mesh Netting for his RASANT/PMO EFI setup. Al Kosmal put it together, however, he was seeking further protection. I've bought from McMaster but I like what he purchased a lot.

If I wasn't so anal about getting the factory stock look, the mesh stuff is what I would use. I think it's a better loom sleeve, but not "vintage."
I just picked up today some heat shrink that is darker in color and has silicone inside for sealing. It's marine quality
