914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Black Friday Sale at 914Rubber.com

Posted by: Mikey914 Nov 22 2017, 11:30 AM

Well, it's that time of year again. Black Friday is just around the corner. We put limited quantities of just about everything on sale, however we do this a little differently. There will of course be a bunch of stuff at opening, but we continue to restock items at random intervals. This allows those that are not the fastest at clicking to have a shot simply by stopping back.

We also run this sale for the entire weekend!

So if your significant other wants to do the shop til you drop, you don't have to stay at hope for a part for that silly car (unless you need the excuse).

We are doing something a little different this year as we will be offer a few items at blow out prices until we are out, as well as an all I want for Christmas pre-order on a few items. Items that are in production that are not ready but will be before Christmas. Kind of like a GB on steroids.

The pricing on most all items is below cost, so we can't open up the entire inventory, but you will have the opportunity to get some screaming deals.

Again keep checking back to increase your odds of hitting the jackpot!

This our annual one and only sale of the year will end Midnight West coast time Sunday evening.

Thanks to all once again for allowing us to make parts for you,

Sincerely,

Mark Whitesell
AKA Mikey914

PS we have tried to organize this our "old site" to make it a little easier to use. Only so much we can do on this platform

Don't forget your enabler, or it gets really expensive.

Also, we will automatically be holding all orders til Monday and will combine and refund any shipping overcharges. So feel free to place multiple orders (which may well happen). biggrin.gif

Posted by: 914Sixer Nov 22 2017, 01:43 PM

Will the enabler code be posted at Midnight on Thursday?

Posted by: 1adam12 Nov 22 2017, 03:25 PM

OPEN, OPEN, OPEN... I'm ready, let's do this!

What no COUPONS?

Posted by: djway Nov 23 2017, 12:07 AM

I see you are building a new Web Page. It would be real helpful if you add a wish list feature to this new site. It is helpful to be able to add a part to my wish list when I learn I need it so I can make an order when needed.
I so appreciate what you do for we the addicted.
Happy Thanksgiving

No knock on your process intended. Just a knock on my luck, that I dont have any

I'll be driving from IA to AZ this weekend- have to figure out how to check it out while driving across KS, OK, TX, NM, etc... (and no, not in a P-car)

One of the reasons for random restocking. To give all a fair shot.

Also Launching a few new products.

One is the new improved back pad set.
Fiberglass is nice, but difficult to glue to and stapling is marginal.

The new plastic ones come with a lower daily price of $175 and for the Black Friday.
$94 Will do a GB on these at $99 but this sale is your best price will be the sale.

These you can glue to and staple like most upholsters prefer.

I'll post up the other item shortly.

We have an idea for that too:

Posted by: Mikey914 Nov 23 2017, 04:47 PM

Sale officially kicks off at 12:00 East coast time (9 Pacific) runs til midnight Sunday Pacific.
Some items like the back pads we hope to have enough stock to run throughout the sale. Others there are just a few items but will be restocked at random times at least 3x a day.

There is a Black Friday section that will have the featured items and we may add a few.

And another item we are bringing on now is the visor clips from hard tooling. We have the plastic only now and will be selling with or without the stainless pins on GB when we launch the next round.

Sorry for the crappy picture but at home right now.

Also added a pre-purchase special for the thresholds we have in process.
About 1/2 off the reg price.

You may want to check these out they have never been less expensive!
They can be located in the body parts section. Hopefully the diagrams will help

$68 for the 'chrome"
$72 for the hard coat anodized, they are VERY difficult to scratch to the metal

The4se are actually in production now (metal extruded) ad we are processing the parts. It will be more of a matter of how fast our vendor can turn the product. Typically 2-3 weeks. There is always a possibility that they can take longer, that's why we can't offer a guarantee, but at 1/2 off ish can't miss out. We will hold the sale open for another 5 days but price will go up after the Black Friday sale.

They will be restocked periodically to help spread out the deals. Makes it possible to. Get a good deal without having to be the 1st through the door. Can't say when but they will be restocked another 5 times if gone.

Thought I saw somewhere you'd have front lid springs during this sale? Sure need some... (or my forehead would appreciate it)

Posted by: RickS Nov 24 2017, 12:46 PM

Mikey lured me in and set the hook on a set of fender liners, not on sale. Mikey is a genius. Looking forward to installing them. Wished he made a set for 911s since they have the same issues.

Hey Mikey, ever thought of making the outboard sun visor clips that allow you to swivel the visors and then seat them in the center position like modern cars? It’s my only disappointment with the basic design of the interior.

Not enough room in the frame for the pin and spring and stuff. Otherwise it's still alot of leverage put on it to have it surface mount even with a second screw.
The tinted stickies are so much easier.

It could be done but would require welding in an attach point. The guy that comes up with a reasonable way to make our Faux Vent Windows into an opperative vent window is going to make a lot of friends and a little $$$. av-943.gif

Question on the Injection Covers that I noticed on the Black Friday list of must haves.

Do you have to cut the wires ?

I really need/want this new backpad, but I can't seem to find it on the website - I looked in the black friday link, and the GB link, but i can't seem to find it. As far as shipping goes we have held the friday items and will be combining Monday and refunding to bring the costs to actual. We do not use shipping as a profit center.

Also a few more big thicket items will list today too, so its not over.

still not seeing them, but I will try switching computers, I get this big wide orange stripe - eh looks like bright orange floorboards with wires routedor, running down the right side of the screeen at the bottom of the Black Friday items

Should I order what I know is in stock and on the Black Friday special then go back to see if the other items are then available. Then will shipping be combined ?

Hey Guys,
Would appreciate some input please. I am buying a dash, turn signal lenses and the domestic carpet. The German set is out of stock. Ian am doing a complete tear down and rebuild of my ‘70 and making it a steel GT with a V8. Does anyone have the domestic carpet set and are the happy with the quality or should I wait for the German to be available?

Mikey,

I have the front trunk seal but want to get all new rubber. I didn’t see any discounts for he basic and complete rubber seal sets. Would it be cheaper to peice the kit together from the Black Friday offerings. I’m gonna be spending a lot of money with you before the end of the day tomorrow and would appreciate any input.

At least for the door combo kit, the kit price has a huge discount. I doubt you could take the discount on some of the pieces this weekend and pay regular for the rest and actually be better off. For the time involved to keep track of what I have and don't have and likely accidental double purchases it isn't worth the trouble to me.
If you need some of the non kit pieces like bumper top pads then jump on it.

I really need/want this new backpad, but I can't seem to find it on the website - I looked in the black friday link, and the GB link, but i can't seem to find it.

Anybody else find this yet? Still looking, can't find it.
Thanks!

Early vs late windows and doors, help me out. I have a 01/73. I know I need the window door end caps that Mark has on the Black Friday special. Not having ever seen these before how to tell which is right for my doors?
Thanks,
Sean

If your doors have the scissor type regulator they are late - but you will need to remove the door panel to find out. Otherwise check the Aluminum channel that separates the main window from the quarter light - if you have a continuous fuzzy coated rubber then they are late, if your window has rollers then it’s early. Someone else will probably chip in with a better discrption in a minute!!! Mine is March 1973 and late!

Sorry about that I went in and made another listing for it but for some reason it was hidden. It is up now. For this price I am sure you guys will have a lot of fun getting creative these things. These are some pictures from our prototype test fittings. You will need to give us a few weeks to catch up on shipping the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales so we can get these boxed up and shipped out. For the price, you will not be disappointed! Please send me photos of your installs.

Is this a vinyl covered backpad or just the bare shell?

This is one of our parts that are designed to fix the problem with an existing part without having to replace the whole thing. It is a bare shell that is meant to replace the internal component on the original back pads that is made of fiberboard. They are almost always destroyed by moisture or rodents depending on how the cars were stored over the years. We did have ones that were made of fiberglass, but they are harder to work with and these are more consistent. That being said, I have had guys tell me that they intend one putting them in as they are for autocross or until they can get the new foam pads that we will be making for them in the future for those that are not able to salvage the foam from their existing back pads. We do sell the backpad vinyl that goes on the foam. You just need to harvest the foam from your existing back pads at this time.

How do you get the discounted price? It tells me I have to pay $199 when I try to check out. I expected the $94 Black Friday price.

"The new plastic ones come with a lower daily price of $175 and for the Black Friday
$94 Will do a GB on these at $99 but this sale is your best price will be the sale."

Thanks for the awesome deals!

Thanks. We have received a lot of great support from the community so it allows us to give back. So the better we do, the more we can help you.
To that end, we are extending the sale through Cyber Monday and are adding some products that are prepurchase items and we will do a production run on them at close to cost on some big items like German Carpet and Dash Tops.

If you're interested, we also have a new section that has apparel and gifts that are also all on sale this weekend. They are provided by a 3rd party but they have lots of great items. I bought a few of the shirts before heading down to SEMA and I love them. They are very comfortable and are holding up nicely.
You can find them here:

Yeah! Saw that earlier this evening and swooped in on the carpet pre-purchase. I went ahead and purchased it even though there wasn't a color option. Will you guys be reaching out regarding my color choice?

Final count down. Sale closes out in 3 hours.

Hoping the back pads work well with using a german style loop carpet instead of vinyl.

Posted by: Mikey914 Nov 28 2017, 01:17 AM

Not sure if its sarcasm, but im case ots not. The 2 are completely different.
They are typically covered in vinyl, but im sure you could glue carpet to then if you want.

I must have tried 30 times to get in on the bumper tops set and was never successful, soooo if you decide to allow one more set to go at the weekend price I would be most thankful

Out of curiosity, how many LE spoilers were offered? I must've checked 30 times only to see "0" in stock. sad.gif All in all, I saved a bundle with this sale. I even bought a few items I didn't plan on as well as a few for another car. Thx Mark. beerchug.gif

Mark and Team 914 Rubber,
Thank you thank you thank you for the Black Friday Sale.
Picked up a dash top, Door stay kit and a few other items needed to keep me rolling in style (what am I saying, when your in a 914, your always in style). Thank you in advance for the great prices, prompt shipping and always great quality.

Mike
P.S. Thanks for letting me be one of your guinea pigs for the 1.7 intake plenum tubes, fits, looks and works great.

Posted by: Mikey914 Nov 28 2017, 11:57 AM

Thanks to all for the patronage.
I hear the comments about quantities, the LE's we had 6 that we sold, the bumper tops we did 5 sets. I think next year we may gear up to to larger quantities but the idea is that we are selling most of these at a loss, so it's more a factor of where out inventory is when the sale hits.

I just got back in and I'm heading to the shop to help out with getting all of these shipped.
Thanks again,
Mark
