I have a -6 3 pin cdi I would like to test and rebuild myself if Possible. Anyone ever do one? I know I can send it out for service but if I can do it myself that would be even better. Any help would be appreciated..
Bob Ashlock will rebuild yours for $200

They don't get into how to, but here's a YT vid

I emailed a link to a complete writeup on the testing procedure from Warren Hall’s Pelican Parts post back in the day. It doesn't look like an easy procedure other than hooking up 12 volts to listen for a hum from the CDI.
Thanks guys.. Probably just send it out.. Just didn't want to spend the 200..
