If you look at his other items for sale, he has some that he calls LEMFOERDER that are twice as much. Raises the question on what these are.

I don't know, they are advertized as German made. The funny thing is that if you look in the seller's other auctions he has the same kit but made by Lemfoerder for twice the price. I think it's up to you, I once bought cheap steering direction parts and MY experience has been that I had to replace those within six months with the roads we have here. Then I went for the real stuff at a higher price and it's still holding well.

PS: Germans can make crap parts also like KAE for electronic stuff...

Are the ones from Tweeks the same that Pelican sells?

Allen, those are the same ones I bought, and sold with the 74 to Dan Root. I didnt get a chance to install them but they sat on the shelf for about a year or so. If the boots were going to crack and deteriorate, they would have done it already. I would go for it. They will work fine for you for at least a year. The problem that some of them had were the boots would crack and look bad, the steel parts were all fine.

I've even seen reports of Lemforder units also having been sold with the bad boots.
