How about meeting up at Crystal Cove this Saturday ? It’s gonna be top-down weather

* easy to reach, 405 > 05 >55 to the 73S, get off at MacCarthur about 4 miles to PCH, TURN LEFT. CC is about 2 miles south on the left in a mini mall. Look for Crystal Cove Promanade sign.

BTW: There's a Trader Joes at the South end of the parking lot that opens at 8:00am if you want to knock out some shopping....

The Phoenix Club event is my favorite Porsche event of the year. Two weeks!!!!!

The 356 Club is once again hosting the So Cal All-Porsche Swap & Car Display! It will be held on the day after the Lit Meet, Sunday March 4th, 2018. We'll be at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA. FB page for Porsche & Pastries (at Enderle) says the next event is March 17 (3rd Saturday of each month.) Looks like a trip up to Pelican might be the better way to go next weekend. Wow! Do you live in Trabuco Canyon? Lucky guy. Back in the 70s, when I had my 1st 914, that used to be one of my favorite runs. I'd drive all the way in to the bird sanctuary and back. It wasn't as good as the Ortega, but it was closer to Fullerton where I lived.

Rather, this is an APAL-Porsche 1600, produced by Belgian fiberglass manufacturer APAL (Application Polyester Armé de Liège) in 1962, and designed to evoke the impactful lines of the hen’s teeth Porsche 356 Carrera Abarth coupes.

Production spanned just five years (’61 to ’65), and in all, about 150 coupes were built. But just because these cars carried a different name doesn’t mean these APAL coupes couldn’t hustle. They surely could."

Nice and close to home!!
I'm not a fan of the 964. The bumpers looked tacked on. It still has the lift throttle oversteer problems, compared to the later 993. I am also a little prejudice since I used to have a 993. The 993 lift throttle oversteer is a trip if you have driven one. The rear end starts to come around and then the suspension pushes the tires out to correct itself. Not nearly as fun as a 914, so i got rid of it and used some of the money to pay for my 916 trans.

@Jim, your right the 3rd brake light is also found on 944 S2 and 968 convertibles.

Front trunk is done sans the Perlon on the wall. I like the painted look, too bad the wall has holes. An amp and XFM receiver had been mounted there

Nice!! Those seat inserts should be more comfortable than the vinyl and they look great. My orange 75 VW sirocco had orange plaid inserts. Very comfortable.

thats awesome jim! my stock 2.0 feels like a 2056 to me now, that steady strong pull between 3000-5000 rpm is a huge imporvent, like others i had hesitstion thst i was not sure why, thought it was tps must have been the distributor.
I dnt have a bigger throttle body but i had it rebuilt and i know thats part of it too.
So with your setting #2 is that with out the vac line hooked up? with my d- jet i have that on. With out it i would have a very high isl and to get it down timing would be off.
not sure if any other 123 owners have seen this but im sure its different from L-jet to
D-jet.
