Is there a good source for an engine lid pneumatic strut kit to replace the OEM torsion bars? And yes, I've searched with no success.

Pick n pull is your friend if you enjoy fabbing stuff up. SUV popup windows have a good strength ratio.

If you just want a kit in a box that's ready to install, go straight to camp914. His web site is 914 years outdated, but this is a top notch guy and anyone around here would vouch.
