I dug around in the spare VW face plates and was able to complete the install with opening up the shaft holes and little work on the corners in the center of the plate.

It is a rare Becker. All four bands. AM, FM, SHORTWAVE, LONGWAVE AND Stereo on top of that. Euro model.
