914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Anybody know this 914/6?

Posted by: richardL Jun 3 2005, 03:16 PM

I've been asked to see if anybody knows the history of 914/6 '914 043 0248'

It is supposed to have raced in the US (painted Green). Its now in the UK painted silver.

The new owner is trying to get history/pictures etc.

If anybody knows anything can you please post here or PM me.

Thanks

If anyone has any info, Larry will. Great guy, he's been collecting for sale ads from Pano and Excellence since the 70's.

I looked at Larry's site on PCA.ORG and he is asking for info on this car. At least we know where it is now...

No one seems to have info sad.gif

Oh, well maybe he'd be happy to know that 4722901447 is the RS. Happy hunting...

There is a for sale ad in Aug 1980 Panorama.

Interestingly I was going through the ads in old 'Mid Engine Views' and came across an ad for 914 043 0003.

This is the earliest production car I've heard of, but never seen it mentioned elsewhere. It sounded quite modified with a 2.2S engine and a bunch of other mods.
