914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Backpad Restoration

Has anyone done restoration work on their backpad? Mine is in kinda bad shape and it seems like there must be some kind of flexible resin that could be applied to the fibreboard to keep it from getting worse. Also I was planning on reinforcing around the clip area of the fiberboard for whenever I get clips. Mine were missing so if anyone has a line on some I'd appreciate hearing - maybe some of you guys who replaced the pad with carpet.

I recently recovered a backpad, check out the V8 thread link. I've had good luck repairing the the broken pressboard stuff using fiberglass tape (like drywall tape) and a layer of body filler. It's quick and cheap. Fiberglass would work too.
